Cordiam: 50 years supplying drilling equipment

For over 50 years Cordiam has been supplying drilling equipment, and specialising in the design and manufacture of diamond core bits and accessories.

Founded in 1972 by Giuseppe Gorni in Guanzate, near Como, Cordiam quickly become renowned name in both the Italian and international market thanks to its versatility, continuous development of know-how, and ability to meet every requirement at sites.

Our History: A Journey of Growth and Innovation

1972

Cordiam was founded by Giuseppe Gorni in Guanzate, Como.

’80s

We expanded in the Italian market and began to export products to Europe and the world.

1990

Inauguration of the new 5,000 m² operational headquarters, with 2,000 m² of production area and 500 m² of office space.

2000

We consolidated ties of mutual cooperation with companies operating in the sectors of geotechnics, mine prospecting, civil and industrial engineering, restoration, and controlled demolition.

2016

Cordiam was consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima

Today

Commitment to designing equipment for drilling in the space sector, thus confirming Cordiam as a European benchmark in the field of diamond equipment.

Cordiam’s mission is to follow the design of God, the Father, corresponding to His grace, in the marvellous path of Paul VI’s dream, who in Populorum Progressio hoped for the advent of an economic model capable of valuing the human dimension in its completeness, and whose goal is to establish a “civilisation of love”.
