Corpax

These are core bits with cylindrical polycrystalline cutters featuring a tungsten carbide support that are superficially brazed onto the crown. During the cutting action, each PCD undergoes natural wear that causes them to lose their cutting edge until the entire diamond part is consumed: this marks the end of the core bit's life. If the shaft is not particularly worn or damaged, the bit can be regenerated by replacing the PCDs with new ones. They are suitable for cutting soft and medium-hard materials, preferably compact. Water, sometimes supplemented with polymers, is needed to cool the tip and remove debris.
